Je me suis rappelé parler avec un ami à moi sur le filet il y a quelques mois, il me disait au sujet de la façon dont il a obtenu un travail et s'établit maintenant vers le bas en France ainsi que son famille. C'était son rêve à travailler et habiter ainsi que sa famille à bord particulièrement en France. Il a continué à insister sur le fait que je devrais aller là aussi bien.

Il m'a même donné quelques conseils sur la façon dont obtenir un travail et habiter en France. Il m'a également dit que la première chose à faire quand j'y arrive est d'obtenir une assurance-vie Afer. Je pense sa bonne cause que nous ne saurons jamais ce qui pourrait se produire plus tard.

I just started my siomai business late week. Even though I only get a few customers but I'm still hoping that as the days goes by I'll have more and more customers. Being a business man means you must have a lot of patience and endurance to be able to overcome the ups and downs. Setting up a business is risky because you don't know if it will be a hit or not. But for me I rather take the risk and pray to God that it will go all well.

Siomai Business

I just started my siomai business yesterday afternoon. I sat down on my chair outside my apartment selling siomai for about 3 hours only because I started at around 4pm and closed at exactly 7pm because it was so dark. I still haven't installed a light yet that's why I closed early than I should. Waiting in my stall for 3 hours only got me 4 customers, well it's not bad for starters. I'll do go next time, I will buy a light later so I can sell until late in the evening to gain more customer.

Yesterday I went to taboan (A public market in Cebu City) to look for a steamer for my future siomai business. I instantly located some stores selling steamers, these steamers were ranging from Php 1.3k to Php 1.5k. But what bothers me about these steamers are that they are like pirated products. I want to buy the original product, so I went to Gaisano feasta mall and found out that they cost about Php 1.9k. So as of now I'm still deciding whether to buy the original or the pirated product.

I had been thinking of running my own business for some time now but, I haven't thought of a good business yet. Every time I think of one, it always ends up being too expensive to or that business is already in the area where I want to put mine. So after thinking of so many business to put up, I finally thought of a siomai business. So I searched the net for the recipe and luckily found it immediately.

Ingredients:
1 kg ground pork (suggested proportion of fat to lean meat is 1:3)
1/3 cup chopped water chestnuts or turnips (singkamas)
1/3 cup chopped carrots
2 medium or 1 large minced onion(s)
bunch of spring onions or leeks
1 egg
5 tablespoons sesame oil
1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1 teaspoon salt
50 pcs. large or 100 pcs. small wanton or siomai wrapper

Wrapper:
1/4 cup water
1 egg
1 tablespoon vegetable or corn oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Chili paste:
soy sauce
calamansi (lemon or kumquats)
sesame oil
chili paste

Preparations:
1. Mix all the ingredients for the filling in a bowl.
2. Spoon 1 tablespoon of mixture into each wrapper. Fold and seal.
3. In another pot, boil water and brush steamer with oil.
4. When the water is starting to boil, arrange the siomai in the steamer and let stand for 15-20 minutes, longer for larger pieces.
5. Serve with soy sauce, calamansi and sesame oil. Chilli past is optional.

Wrapper:
1. Beat egg and mix with flour till free of lumps.
2. Bring water, cooking oil and salt to a boil, then pour in flour.
3. Remove from heat and beat until mixture forms a ball.
4. Divide the dough into 1 1/4 -inch balls.
5. Roll each ball on a floured board until paper thin. Set aside.

Chili paste
1. Combine chopped chillies and mashed garlic then simmer for around 20 minutes or till most of the water has evaporated.
2. Add oil, simmer and stir well.

“Like father like daughter”, I never really believe in that saying until today. I was when I saw the news about Davao’s City Mayor Sara Duterte who is like her father ‘The Punisher’. The lady mayor repeatedly punched the Sheriff of the Davao Regional Trial Court in a demolition operation in Davao City. The incident happened when the Sheriff refused to wait for the mayor and pushed through with the demolition. The lady mayor noted that she asked for a two-hour extension prior to the demolition to avoid riots. I really can’t say the lady mayor is like her father because her father was ‘The Punisher’ and I think she will now be called ‘The Puncher’.

Yahoo Messenger Blank Message Box Error

A few hours ago I encountered a problem with my Yahoo Messenger, I launched the YM so I can chat with my girlfriend. But to my surprise, I can’t see what I typed and also what my girlfriend replied on the chat/message box. The first thing that came up to my mind was that it was caused by a spyware/virus/malicious script. I was going to reinstall the Yahoo Messenger but didn’t because it requires a lot of time installing it. So, I searched the net for possible fix for this problem and luckily I found a forum with a topic of the same problem as mine. I read to it thoroughly and found several replies saying to do this and that. But I was sure that some of those replies were just plain stupid to do or requires a lot of time. Then I found this one reply that needs only a few steps to solve the problem. So, I gave it a try and wahla… problem solve.

Here are the steps to solve this Yahoo Messenger problem:

Open a registry editor (click Start, click Run. type: regedit and then press Enter).
Navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft\ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Internet Settings \ Zones
There should only be 5 items there, numbered 0 to 4. If you see a different one, especially if it’s a box, try deleting it.
Then Exit your Yahoo Messenger from the bottom bar (near the clock) or End Process it from task manager(Ctrl+Alt+Del -> process tab).
Now run again your Yahoo Messenger!!

Same-Sex Marriage in New York

Yesterday in New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo made the same-sex marriages legal. It was a key victory for all the same-sex couples rights ahead of the 2012 presidential and congressional elections.

As we all know that the US is famous for having a few states that allows same-sex couples to have a legal marriage, New York has now became the sixth and most populous state to allow same-sex marriage. The legislation also gives the same-sex couples the right to divorce. It won’t make sense if it they aren’t allowed to divorce.

Let’s just hope that there won’t be any conflict between them and the religious institutions that doesn’t approve to the same-sex marriage.

Xlibris Exam & Interview

Just later this afternoon, I went to this company called Xlibris located at IT Park Lahug. It's a very well-known company here in cebu. When I said well-known, I mean popular specially to those people seeking for a job just like myself.

I went in the FGU Building and up to the top floor where their office is located. Just as I went in their office I can already feel this chilling sensation all over my body. I had this feeling because I know once I submit my cv, an exam and interview will be next and I feel a bit unease when it comes to interview. So once I submitted my cv they gave me and exam and after an interview. I just sucks at interview, no matter how much I try to be confident I always end up messing things up. I think I need a little more practice to improve my answer skills and I know that the interviewer was a bit disappointed with my answer because I say "ahh... ahhh.. blah blah blah...".

So I ended up going back up face down and feeling down until I got home. No matter how good I get with the exams, I always get stuck when it comes to interviews. I bitter cope up if I want to land a job or else I'll be jobless forever.

A few days ago a friend of mine asked me if I bought an extra boston bruins tickets, but unfortunately I only bought one. So I suggested him to buy it in Ticketamerica.com. Ticketamerica.com has tickets for the boston bruins and TD Garden and all NHL tickets.

I also bought two td garden tickets for the Rihanna concert to be held next month on the 24th. I know my girlfriend will be thrilled to go to that concert. Right now I'm saving some money to buy NHL tickets for the whole family. I just hope I can save enough money to buy them before the game.

Job Hunting

It's already a month since I last had a job, It was a home-based job about making strategies for a worldwide online first person shooting game called "Crysis 2". It was a really good job because all I do was play the game as much as I can, what follows is the hard part because making strategies as simple enough to be understood by the clients is somewhat troublesome. No matter how troublesome making those strategies were, it was still a good job with a good pay.

Now that I no longer have a job, I've been searching for a new one because if I don't have money then I won't be able to pay the rent for my apartment. Even though my sister is helping me with my expenses, I can't just keep on relying on my sister forever and I'm a bit ashamed for that. It should be me helping her and not the another way around.

So speaking of job hunting, while I'm on it I'm also studying on web programming because my knowledge is only limited to database programming and it's already an obsolete knowledge. Nowadays web programming is on the rampant and there are a lot of job vacancies where I can't apply because of lack of knowledge for it. So hoping to land for these kind of job I'm studying and hopefully I can get the gist of it. I'm still looking for a good learning materials to studying to expand my knowledge. So if you guys know a good material for me to study about web programming then don't hesitate to give me a comment where I can get them. Thanks in advance.

At first it was my sister together with her husband that stayed out of our family home because my sister can no longer accept our father's stupidity. They rented an apartment to stay away from problems that our father causes. Then when my sister filed a law suit against there previous maid whom is now our older brother's girlfriend. My brother together with his girlfriend flied the scene and rented an apartment in Pardo. After I knew about it, I decided to rent an apartment myself in order to stay away from trouble. Now I rented an apartment near my office but I still keep communicating with my sister for updates about the law suit she filed against our brother's girlfriend. Now our father is alone in his house doing things he likes and I don't care about it. He can do what ever he likes in his life. He can sell the house and lot for all I care.

Family Problems

My entire family started crumbling down after my mom died last year. At first my dad started to act weird, doing things that he doesn't usually do when my mom was still around. He became lazy day in and day out. His acting as if his a king, order here and order there. He goes to church almost every morning, which is very weird because he doesn't go to church unless my mom forces him to go. But we really didn't mind it because we were thinking maybe it was just an after effect for our moms death. But it really started to get worst when he just scolds us without any reason. He even scolded my sister which was pregnant at that time just because she asked him for a price for our dogs that we were selling.

After that incident my sister decided to stay away from my dad, so my sister together with her husband rented an apartment near our town proper. From time to time our dad goes to their rented apartment and trying to be nice to her so that he can ask for money. My sister is usually is the one that gives money to our dad. The situation was about to get well between my sister and our dad when a new twist in our lives came and ruined it all. A girl that my sister hired as a maid/babysitter(we call them yaya in our country) whom they thought was an angel, was actually a Devil in disguise. The girl won't even listen to what my sister told her to do, she even wasted rice by cooking more than what my sister and her can eat. She even made all there neighbors her enemy and she even tells false story about my sister. So my sister decide to kick her out, but our eldest brother came to the rescue. Our eldest brother decided to take-in the girl as our maid because he said he pitied her.

The real nightmare began when our eldest brother brought the girl at our home. At first I thought it was okay because she will be having her own room. But a couple of days passed by when I noticed she was sleeping in my sisters room in which my brother is using. They had been sleeping together since the girl started living in our house. That was when my sister got really angry because she doesn't want her to be our eldest brothers lover due to her attitude and personality. She's been talking ill about my sister to our eldest brother about why our sister kicked her out. She's saying it was because our sister got jealous of her, which was all lies. But sad to say our eldest brother is now like her puppet.

The situation between my sister and brother together with our dad got worst. Our dad and our eldest brother won't listen to my sister and took side on the girl. They even scolded my sister about it when she went to our house with her friends. After that incident she totally cut ties with my brother and dad. My sister transferred to another apartment again to stay away from our dad and our eldest brother.

Super Typhoon Juan

A super typhoon Juan (international name, Megi) just took 5 lives when it hit the Ilocos region here in the Philippines. As of now I have no update as to where the Super Typhoon Juan is and going. Even though Juan is far from where I live, we can still somehow feel the heavy rains and strong winds. Its been rain almost everyday, and its really hard to commute to work and back home. Yesterday when I was walking while going to our office, the rain just suddenly poured down and I had to run for cover. Lucky me I was near a store at that time and took cover from the rain. I had to take a ride even though it's a walking distance from where I am stuck to our office, but I really had no choice because of the heavy rain.

It's really difficult to do things the we do in our daily lives when there is a typhoon. I also went through this kind of hardship when I was still young. My parents and my siblings had to stay at home for a couple of days because of super typhoon. So I know how those people how got caught up by the typhoon feels. I just hope there alright. I pray for there safety.

I just want to share some photos of Resty celebrating her birthday. She celebrated it in a simple yet meaningful one. She asked Tita Nely (her Mom) to cooked bam-i and chicharong baboy.She bought a lechon manok for additional course. She brought it at her office and ate lunch together with her office mates.

Resty and her nephew celebrates their birthdays every July. While Tita Nely (Resty's mom) falls on August. Resty's brother planned to have an all in one celebration at their house. And I was so happy that I was able to join them.

Chilean Miners

The 33 Chilean miners that were trapped in 2,000 feet underground mine are finally out. It was really a miracle that they survived for 69 days (if i am not wrong). It was unity and discipline among them that kept them alive while trapped underground. They had strict rationing of food and supplies which helped them stay alive until help came. Now that all 33 Chile miners have been rescued, they are now considered national heroes and will taste of what awaits them outside the hospital doors.

The moment they got a taste of fresh air, the miners were probably the 33 most in-demand people on the planet. Even the Greek mining company wants to give them a vacation in the sunny Aegean islands. Soccer teams in Madrid, Manchester and Buenos Aires want them in their stadiums. Bolivia's president wants them at his palace. TV host Don Francisco wants them all on his popular "Sabado Gigante" show in Miami. They're now very popular that even the the rescue team asked Guinness World Records to honor all 33 Chile miners with the record for longest time trapped underground. The men certainly have an extraordinary story to tell since no one before them had been trapped so long and survived.

One of the men kept a diary of his and his fellow miners life when they were still down below. Victor Segovia, a 48-year-old electrician and father of five, wrote so many details during their time underground that he had to ask the crews to send down more pencils and paper.

It's really a miracle that none of the miners are suffering from shock despite their harrowing entrapment. It really relived me that those miners are finally out and safe. I just hoped that nothing like this will ever again happen in the future.

Planning Ahead

I am still open for ideas and suggestions on what would be the design of my house. I've done some researched and found something interesting.
